Study Abroad
Our Study Abroad programme gives you the opportunity to experience a new culture and way of life, learn more about another society than you ever could by staying at home, and develop a greater sense of independence and confidence.
Our MChem Study Abroad scheme means that you get to spend the third or fourth year of your degree at universities in North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe; partnerships with universities in France, Germany and the Netherlands are currently in development. The modules that you study count towards your degree and you may also have the opportunity to take chemistry modules that are unavailable in Lancaster’s degree schemes.
The study aborad option allows you to spend a year of your studies in North America. It is identical to our standard degree except that the third year will be spent in a prestigious North American university. The credit and grades achieved there counting towards your degree classification. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience living and studying in a new and exciting environment and gives you the chance to take courses that might not be available here at Lancaster.
