Commuting to Campus
The impact of travel to and from the campus is a key environmental issue facing all of us. We need your help and support in tackling this.
Lancaster University's Travel Plan 2010-2015 is a major initiative, which aims to do just that. The Travel Plan increases the travel choice of students, staff and visitors while significantly reducing our carbon footprint. The Travel Plan is available here. A key part of the Travel Plan is the car parking policy that supports it.
Sustainable Travel Awards
Lancaster University has won the following awards relating to its effort to improve sustainable travel and reduce carbon emissions relating to commuter travel:
- Green Gown Award 2013 - Carbon Reduction
- ACT Travelwise Commuter Friendly Workplace of the Year 2011
- Public Sector Sustainability Award 2011 (shortlisted)
